Robin has spent many years building up expertise in managing both teams and business to successful outcomes. Starting in trading and managing the FX business for Charterhouse Japhet and CCF before moving to HSBC where he was responsible for ecommerce within institutional sales, Robin joined Reuters in 2004. Following seven years managing parts of the business, to head of EMEA which had revenues of $850million p.a., Robin became Head of Regulation for Marketplaces, Thomson Reuters. Over four years Robin maintained a deep engagement with regulators around the world, with a focus on the G20 commitments to new regulation of financial markets. This involved a good deal of time discussing the proposed regulation with regulators and business owners within client Institutions.
In 2014 Robin founded FMR Advisory, which was set up specifically to help those institutions wrestling with the regulatory impact of new and impending regulations, in particular establishing MTF/SI platforms and managing Conduct Risk.
Over the last five years Robin has been testifying expert in the third largest ever, US anti-trust class action, which, alongside testifying, has involved managing a team of quants analysing over 10billion lines of data and managing a team of FX experts.
